In order to graduate in the class of 2017, students in the Renton School District must pass their required courses, earn a minimum of 22.0 credits, complete a High School and Beyond Plan, complete a minimum of 20 hours of Community Service, pass the English/Language Arts Graduation Exam, a Math Graduation Exam, and the Biology End-of Course Exam.

For specific questions regarding graduation requirements students should make an appointment to meet with their school counselor.
A cap and gown unit (which includes a tassel and a stole which will be worn by all seniors this year) is $38.50. Then you add shipping and tax. Package C which is a cap & gown, stole and mascot tassel is $51.50 plus shipping and tax. The mascot tassel is not required. The regular tassel which comes with the cap and gown (package D) has the grad year on it but not the mascot. The school provides the hard diploma cover which students will receive at graduation. Josten’s will loan cap and gowns for students who cannot afford them. (Prices were accurate for 2013. They will be updated as information is received).
A Jostens representative will present information about ordering Caps and gowns in the Auditorium at the end of October, 10:10am-10:50am. Orders will due early November.
